About Me
My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, understanding the profound impact that past trauma can have on mental and emotional well-being. I prioritize building trust and ensuring that patients feel heard, respected, and supported as they navigate their personal healing process. I also place great value on cultural humility and sensitivity, recognizing the importance of respecting and understanding each patient’s unique background, beliefs, and experiences. I am dedicated to providing culturally sensitive, non-judgmental care that honors the individuality of each person, ensuring they feel comfortable and empowered in their mental health journey.
I bring extensive experience as an outpatient mental health provider, including the care of individuals with severe mental illness and substance use disorders. My prior experience also includes providing expert psychiatric evaluation and treatment to various medical units at the UC San Diego Healthcare System in La Jolla. Upon graduating from the UCSF School of Nursing, I completed a post-graduate fellowship at the San Francisco VA Healthcare System, and have extensive experience providing care to veterans with co-morbid addiction and mental illness. I have also provided integrative care to unhoused and marginalized populations with chronic mental and physical illnesses in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco, and consider the Bay Area to be my second home.
I currently live with my partner and Shiba Inu in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of sunny San Diego. I am a certified Vinyasa instructor and spend my days practicing yoga, hiking, dancing West Coast Swing, sipping coffee on my deck, and trying new restaurants.

Katelyn Brady PMHNP-BC, PMH-C
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a specialized focus on women’s mental health. I currently provide outpatient psychiatric services, including diagnostic evaluation and medication management, to individuals with a range of psychiatric illnesses from diverse populations. I specialize in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and am certified in perinatal psychiatry.
In my clinical practice, I have had the privilege of supporting women through some of life’s most challenging experiences, including counseling on abortion, infertility, pregnancy loss, and traumatic birth experiences. I approach these sensitive topics with compassion and care, offering a safe space for individuals to process grief, loss, and trauma. My goal is to help women regain a sense of strength and resilience as they work through these deeply personal experiences.
